Better Bedtimes Are Just the Beginning

Bedtime battles. Hectic afternoons. Big emotions that seem to come out of nowhere.

Quiet Time Meditations helps you bring simple mindfulness practices into everyday family life—without adding another complicated routine to your day.

In just 3–5 minutes a day, you'll learn how to:

  • Create a more peaceful bedtime routine and help your child settle in for sleep.
  • Help your child reset during hectic afternoons, transitions, and overwhelming moments.
  • Better understand what's happening when big emotions take over—and discover different ways to respond.
  • Make these practices part of everyday life in ways that work for your family.

Short Parents Notes guide you step-by-step, so you don't have to simply press play and hope for the best.

Small Practices Now. Skills That Grow With Your Child.

Quiet Time Meditations isn't only about making bedtime or a difficult afternoon easier.

Your child is beginning to develop skills they can build on as they grow—recognizing emotions, learning ways to self-regulate, adapting to change, building resilience and confidence, and finding healthy ways to navigate stress.

And this doesn't require your family to sit down together every day.

I recommend watching together at least once a week. The rest of the week, your child can watch a meditation or listen to the audio whenever they choose—at bedtime, during quiet time, or when they need a reset.

Meanwhile, your short Parents Notes help you understand what they're learning and how you can reinforce it in everyday family life.

Why I Created Quiet Time Meditations

For six years, I lived in non-stop crisis mode after my younger brother died suddenly and my mother suffered a series of strokes.

I was raising two young daughters while struggling to regulate my own emotions.

When I looked back, I wondered:

How should I have taught my kids to manage their big emotions when I was struggling to regulate my own?

During the pandemic, I saw so many parents experiencing their own version of that same overwhelm. It reinforced something I'd learned throughout my career: families need ways to practice emotional regulation before life's hardest moments arrive.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience as a music therapist, I combined brain science with music, mindfulness, meditation, imagination, and lessons from nature to create Quiet Time Meditations.

And as the program grew, I realized the children weren't the only ones who could benefit.

That's why I expanded Quiet Time Meditations into a Family Learning Program—with step-by-step guidance for parents, so you can learn alongside your child and bring these practices into your family's everyday life.

6 Weeks. 6 Animal Lifecycles. One Family Learning Program.

Each week introduces a different animal lifecycle through music, nature, storytelling, imagination, and guided meditation.

You'll receive Deep Sleep and shorter Naptime meditations, audio-only options, short Parents Notes, coloring pages, affirmation posters, and family activities—all designed to give you choices for how Quiet Time fits into your family.

Because there are no do-overs in parenting. But we can do better.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much time does this take?

Parents Notes take just 3–5 minutes a day, five days a week.

I recommend watching a meditation together as a family at least once a week. Your child can watch or listen on their own whenever they choose.

You have lifetime access, so you can move at your family's pace.

2. What are the Parents Notes?

They're short 3–5 minute videos for you, not your child.

They explain the ideas behind that week's experience and give you practical ways to reinforce them in everyday family life.

3. What age is Quiet Time Meditations for?

The animal stories are designed to engage children and adults alike. The messages are layered, so a 3-year-old may take something different from the experience than a 7-year-old, a 10-year-old, or a parent—while the mindfulness practices can benefit the whole family.

4. Is this only for bedtime?

No. The Deep Sleep meditations are designed for bedtime, while the shorter Naptime versions can be used for quiet time, an afternoon reset, or whenever your child needs a break.

5. What is the Family Learning Guide?

The downloadable Family Learning PDF helps you take each week's theme beyond the meditation.

It includes mindfulness and discussion activities, book suggestions, crafts, and other ways to explore the weekly animal and its lessons together.

Use as much or as little as works for your family—it's there to give you choices, not more homework.

6. Will this add more screen time?

Only if you want it to. Every meditation has an audio-only option, so children can listen without watching a screen.

7. What if my child has trouble sitting still?

That's okay. Children don't have to sit perfectly still or “clear their minds.”

They can lie down, snuggle with you, watch the nature images, close their eyes, or simply listen while the music and story guide their imagination.

8. Why music, nature, and animals?

Children aren't asked to simply “relax.” Music, nature, storytelling, and imagination give their minds something engaging to focus on while introducing mindfulness and emotional regulation in an age-appropriate way.

Each week follows a different animal lifecycle and theme.

9. What do we receive each week?

  • One 30-minute Deep Sleep meditation
  • One 15-minute Naptime version
  • Audio-only versions
  • Short Parents Notes
  • Coloring page and affirmation poster
  • Family Learning activities and suggestions

Everything is organized by week inside the program. Teachable also has a downloadable app, so you can easily access your materials from your phone or tablet.

Quiet Time Meditations works because it doesn't force children to relax—it naturally creates an environment where relaxation is effortless. When your child's nervous system drops, yours will follow. It’s a shared experience of calm throughout your whole home.

🌿 Your 6-Week Journey Through Nature, Mindfulness & Music

Each week, your family enters the world of a different animal and explores a new mindfulness theme through music, storytelling, nature, imagination, and meditation.

You'll receive new materials throughout the week, along with Parents Notes (3-4 minutes) to guide you step-by-step—so you're not left wondering what to do next.

Here's what your six weeks look like:

Week 1 — Caterpillar
Grounding, sensory exploration, and learning to slow down and notice.

Week 2 — Butterfly
Transformation, self-expression, and the beauty of becoming.

Week 3 — Golden Eagle
Perspective, focus, and discovering your own power.

Week 4 — Gray Wolf
Connection, intuition, boundaries, and the strength of community.

Week 5 — Sea Turtle
Perseverance, trust, and navigating life's obstacles.

Week 6 — Bat
Grounding, interconnectedness, and finding your way through the darkness.

Each week includes the meditation experience, audio options, naptime versions, creative materials, affirmation resources, and guidance for parents.
